| Scope of application | By silicification, soluble calcium salts are transformed into water-insolu-ble calcium-fluoride. Thus, the penetration of water, alkaline solutions and acids is prevented, and the isolation of stains from water, smoke, soot and nicotine is achieved together with solidification of old and new plasterwork. Security against efflorescence on walls and plaster work, prevents formation of mould and dry rot. Neutralisation of active lime and cement plaster (this is important for dispersion paints, to avoid changes in the colouring, especially in case of silicate coatings). |
